Howdy ya’ll!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas! We spent time with family and friends ate way too much food! Are elastic pants trendy now?! Cuz I need me some!
And I hope Santa was good to you!
One thing I love about Christmas…is after Christmas shopping when all of the goodies are on sale.
So, you hit up Michaels and WalMart and find some great items at 50% and 70% off…so you buy them with an idea for math hippopotamuses/centers/workstations….
So, here’s what I did…
I bought some glittery (UH DUH everything is better with glitter….) icicle ornaments for 50% off at Wal-Mart. I opened the box and cut off the strings. Ain’t nobody got time for strings…
Then I found these foam snowflakes at Michaels for 70% off! So I bought like 10 packages…cuz that’s how I roll. (Pretty sure the mister just shook his head…)
Now we have our supplies.
You’ll need some numbers.
I printed numbers on clear mailing labels and stuck them to the snowflakes! Click the picture to download the number labels!
And BAM! Just like that, you have some number snowflakes for some fun snowflake math!
You can make glittery icicle tally marks!
You can do snowy ten frames!
You can do snowflake numbers!
And you can get some freebies!
Just click the pictures to download the recording sheets!
Of course, the recording sheets can be used without the snowflakes! You can use dice, number cards, or other manipulatives!
And make plans to join us Wednesday, December 30 for the 1 year anniversary show! SUBMISSIONS FOR SMORGIE LIVE!
We’re giving away $1,000 in prizes!
Someone will win LETTERS ALIVE from Alive Studios! This augmented reality (3D without the glasses!) brings letters, sounds, sentences, word families and sight words to LIFE! I have this in my classroom and my kids FREAK OUT for this!
And of course, we’re giving away 1 year of ESGI!
So join us on YouTube at 8:00 Eastern/7:00 central for a special 90 minute show with special guests Chad from Male Kindergarten Teacher and Chris from Famous In First!
