According to the Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium, “Wilayat Ninawa is one of the most important of the Islamic State’s Iraqi provinces. Iraq’s second largest city, Mosul, which has been under Islamic State control since June 2014, is in situated in this province.” Viewer discretion is advised.
