I look and you smile.
You say “I’m fine.”
That’s not what you said.
Talking on the phone.
You felt bad.
You wanted to cry.
You wanted to leave this life and never return.
I don’t get it.
What is it?
Why do you lie?
Why do you cover your tracks even if they lay in the dirt plain as day?
You know what?
Never mind.
I understand now.
You’re scared.
Scared for yourself.
Afraid of judgment.
Afraid of laughter.
Afraid……..
