GlobalPort guard Terrence Romeo found himself in a virtual shootout with Blackwater Carlo Lastimosa on Sunday.
And though, Lastimosa got the better of Romeo in terms of scoring, the national team mainstay won the more important battle with the Batang Pier coming out on top, 120-105.
“Matagal ko na kilala si Carlo. College pa lang, magkalaban na kami. Capable sya pumutok any given time,” the former Far Eastern University star said.
Romeo finished with 26 points on 9-of-21 shooting from the field while Lastimosa registered a career-high 31 points on 13-of-24 shooting.
But for Romeo, what really mattered was the Batang Pier moving back above the .500 mark with a 4-3 record.
And as much as GlobalPort flaunts one of the deadliest offense with Romeo and Pringle leading the way, the Batang Pier know that they also have to play as a team on both ends of the floor to win.
